The Lady Anne is a Victorian inn in the English tradition. It is a Queen Anne style mansion built in 1888 and occupies a place of prestige on a hill overlooking Humboldt Bay. It is conveniently located only blocks from Humboldt State University and the downtown plaza. You can walk to old growth redwoods, the famed Arcata Marsh, Wildberries Market and Ramone’s Bakery.
The Lady Anne is a welcomed respite from a hurried world. You are encouraged to sit on the glass veranda, the gazebo, or sit in the garden with a cup of tea and a good book. Upon entering the restored mansion, you are transported into the elegance and quiet of the Victorian era. Sam and Sharon have an extensive history with Humboldt county, Arcata, and Humboldt State University. Both have taught at the university and Sam was mayor of Arcata.
The Rooms
We have five tastefully decorated guest rooms on the second floor. Four rooms have queen beds and one has a king and twin. Each room has a private bathroom. There are also three parlors for guests to enjoy. A light, continental breakfast is served at 8:30 in the dining room or guests can enjoy their breakfast in one of the outdoor dining areas.
The Sarah Angela Room
A romantically inviting room, decorated in black and white with a four poster queen canopy tempurpedic bed and view of the bay.
The Jennifer Katherine Room
The turret room is decorated in rich Victorian roses and has a queen antique bed and a great view of the bay.
The Blue Room
The Blue Room is decorated in Laura Ashley blue, has a queen antique four poster bed and a great view of the gardens.
The Rose Room
An enchanting, quiet room in shades of roses.
The Sunroom
A large, light and elegant spacious room with a king bed in white wicker, a twin and trundle.
The Garden Room
This quiet room is ideal for guests needing a first floor room. It opens to a lovely garen, sitting area and has a handicapped ramp. It is also available for guests with a well-behaved dog.
Reservations
Reservations are accepted from 8:00 am to 8:00pm.
Cancellations are encouraged with 24 hour advance notice. Special weekends, holidays and graduation require payment in advance and 7 days advance notice.
No smoking is permitted in the Inn.
Prices
Our prices range from $120 to $220 and are based on double occupancy; a $15 fee will be assessed for each additional guest.

Directions
Arcata is accessible from Hwy 101 or 299. From 101 north, take the Sunset Ave exit. Continue south on H Street and go to 14th Street. Turn right and go one block to I Street. The Lady Anne is on the corner of 14 and I Street.
From 101 south, take the 14th Street exit, turn left on 14 and continue to I Street. The Lady Anne is on the right.
